HOD's Message,
The department caters to Science subjects for the First Year and Second Year of Engineering viz. Applied Mathematics I, II & III, Applied Physics & Applied Chemistry. The department has two state-of-the-art-Laboratories with equipment worth Rs 31 lacs.The department headed by Dr.A.C.Pawar and dedicated faculty members who are experts in their disciplines, aiming to educate and train first-year engineering (F.Y.B.Tech.) students with sound knowledge.
The department conducts counselling sessions, microproject competition, personality development program, presentation Skills, guidance programs, poster and essay competitions, seminars on communications skills. The department has good computational facilities with broadband connectivity. The department actively organizes various student activities through the First year engineering student association (FESA) for F.Y.Btech students.
FESA is also active in various social initiatives in collaboration with the Om Sai Welfare association for the blind and disabled students. FESA provides financial support to poor family background students and sponsors Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) membership for topper students. The department has completed the research project of grant Rs.1.4 Lacs in Physics and Rs. 1.9 lacs in chemistry received from the Savitribai Phule Pune University,Pune. Department promotes research seminars & workshops.
