Eligibility Criteria

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National; (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2023 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2023; Or (ii) Passed minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ; Or (ii) Passed three years D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector;

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National; (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and should obtain non zero positive score in JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2023 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2023. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE Main(B.E/B.Tech) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2023; Or (ii) Passed minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) Or ; (ii) Passed three years D. Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector;

For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate, - (i) The Candidate should be an Indian National; (ii) Passed minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of Candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent; or (ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject; or (ii) Passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector ( refer Schedule III); (iii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

The curriculum follows a semester-wise progression designed to build a strong foundation in engineering sciences in the first year, followed by core civil engineering subjects, laboratory and practical training, industry-oriented electives, a mini/major project, and internships in later semesters. The syllabus is periodically revised in line with university guidelines to keep pace with evolving industry practices and technologies.

Core areas include Structural Analysis and Design, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources and Hydraulics, Surveying, Construction Materials and Management, Concrete Technology, and Estimation & Costing. Students also study subjects related to sustainability, disaster-resilient construction, and project management, with electives allowing specialization in areas of interest.

Laboratories for Surveying, Strength of Materials, Concrete and Building Materials Testing, Geotechnical (Soil Mechanics) Engineering, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, and Transportation Engineering, along with a computer-aided design lab for structural and drafting software.

Students are trained on industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, and Revit for design and drafting, along with tools for project scheduling and estimation such as MS Project and costing software. Additional exposure may include GIS/remote sensing tools and BIM-based workflows.

Yes. Students work on live and industry-sponsored projects, often in collaboration with construction firms, government bodies, and consulting organizations, as part of their mini-projects, major projects, and capstone work in the final year.

The institute has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that organizes on-campus recruitment drives, pre-placement training, aptitude and technical preparation, and mock interviews for Civil Engineering students.

Graduates commonly pursue M.Tech/M.E. in specializations such as Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Construction Management — either at this institute (if postgraduate programs are offered) or elsewhere via GATE.
