Admission to the First Year (FY) Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program is a key step for aspiring engineers. 1. Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for admission to the First Year of B.Tech / B.E program, candidates must typically fulfill the following criteria:
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 (HSC) or its equivalent examination
- Subjects usually required include Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subjects
- Candidates must secure the minimum percentage or percentile as prescribed by the regulatory authorities (Maharashtra State CET Cell) for the respective academic year
2. Entrance Examinations: Admission to First Year of B.Tech / B.E. is primarily based on performance in recognized entrance examinations, such as:
- State-level Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET)-PCM/PCMB

3. Centralized Admission Process (CAP): All Government, government-aided, and unaided engineering institutes in Maharashtra participate in a CAP conducted by Maharashtra State CET Cell.

- Verification of original documents
- Payment of prescribed fees
- Submission of required undertaking forms

7. Institute-Level Admission (If Applicable): In addition to CAP seats, a limited number of seats through Institute-Level / ACAP Admissions, strictly as per the norms laid down by regulatory authorities. The process is handled by a institute level committee.
Such admissions are:
- Merit-based
- Conducted after all CAP rounds
- Subject to approval by the competent authority
