Brief Profile

Dr. Kumara Swamy Pulisheru completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, in 2009, followed by an M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, in 2014, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Manipur, in 2024.

After completion of his B.Tech., he worked for two years in Research and Development (R&D) as a Project Associate on NRB and ARB projects. He subsequently gained two years of industrial experience as a Design Engineer in an aeronautical company, where he was involved in the design and analysis of aircraft components. After completing his M.Tech., he served as an Assistant Professor for one year. Following the completion of his Ph.D., he served as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for two and a half years, contributing to academic administration, teaching, research, and departmental development. Currently, he is serving as Assistant Professor in Robotics & Automation Dept., K.K Wagh Institute of Engineering Education and Research.

His research interest includes− Additive manufacturing, Laser Surface Melting/Laser Alloying/Laser Cladding, Friction Stir Welding/Friction Stir Processing, Material Characterization of AMMCs, Powder Metallurgy, Design and Simulation of Automobile and Aeronautical components.

He has published 13 research articles indexed in SCI/SCOPUS, and he has published springer book chapters and conference papers and has received over 105 citations. He received the best Nodal Coordinator award from the Virtual Labs, IIT Delhi in August 2025.
