The admission to the prestigious institute in the field of engineering, which was especially located at my home town (Nasik) was important milestone stone in my life. The concept-based learning was imparted in the field of production engineering by institute and build strong foundation for professional carrier. The appearance in the GATE-2001 exam and scoring 96 percentiles with AIR-100 give me the real boost and confidence for preparation of competitive exams in last year of engineering. After completion of my engineering, the new journey was started where I lost my family support due to sudden demise of my mother. The production engineering dept hold my hands during the critical phase of my life and provides mean opportunity to work as part of teaching faculty. This gives me chance to understand the kind of effort required for teaching. My Guru’s helps me to learn the teaching skill and further enhancement of my subject knowledge by sharing their ideas and experience. The knowledge acquired by me were used in systematic and organized manner for preparation of competitive exams without joining any coaching class explicitly available for such exams.
After understanding the competition among production and mechanical engineering streams for qualifying exam, the edge provided by the production engineering streams has been used wisely with minimal compromise on mechanical engineering subject. The outcome of all effort was simultaneous qualified number of exams conducted by different PSUs/departments of central government such as HAL, IOCL, SAIL and DRDO. Finally, in the year 2007, I joined Défense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as scientist ‘B’. The research work carried out in my tenure has been appreciated by DRDO and awarded me with “Laboratory Scientist of the year award-2010” and “Technology Group award-2015”. My sincere thanks to Dr K N Nandurkar, all my Gurus and staff of production engineering department for supporting me as family and also covey my best wishes to the institute for future endeavours.
