Students Activity: “Grooming Session and MS Excel Training of Students for Stock Audit Activity and Financial Literacy”

The Department of Applied Science arranged a Grooming session and MS Excel training of students for Stock audit activity by CA Piyush Chandak and Mrs. Sonali Chandak on 27/06/2025 Friday at 01:30 pm in JVN hall, E-wing 4th floor Computer Engineering Department.

Objectives of this session are:

• To provide students with a clear understanding of fundamental financial concepts including budgeting, costing, saving and management.
• To illustrate how stock audits, help in controlling costs by preventing overstock or stockouts, leading to improved financial accuracy and better decision-making.
• To provide knowledge to students with understanding of Excel’s basic functions, formulas and data entry techniques.
• To demonstrate advanced data management techniques including sorting, filtering and Vlookups to enhance productivity.

The Department of Applied Science will conduct the Stock audit activity for first year students from 1st July to 7th July 2025 in various companies in Ambad and Satpur, MIDC, Nashik. Students do stock audit activity through CA Piyush Chandak's audit company. Applications of F.Y. B. Tech students were invited through Google form, from which 80 students were selected for this stock audit activity through interviews. And afterwards grooming session was conducted. These was conducted by Mrs. Sonali Chandak. In this grooming session all the rules and benefits of the activity was explained so that the students understood all the rules and safety precaution’s during this activity. Selected Students actively participated in this activity. Stock audits can help to improve the financial health of business and is important to keep the information updated about the quantity and the quality of raw materials in stock. Prof. S. M. Shinde, Prof. D. A. Kokande, Prof. R. S. Patil and Prof. R. S. Agrawal coordinated this activity under the guidance of Dr. A. C. Pawar, HoD, Applied Science.
